Victor Manuelle and Issac Delgado Super Saturday concert on Hispanic Heritage Weekend highlights homestand

08/27/2007, MIAMI -- The Florida Marlins are set to host two NL East division rivals, the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies, in a six-game homestand beginning Monday, August 27 at Dolphin Stadium. The tenth homestand of the season will feature five fan giveaways including a Hanley Ramirez Figurine, a Marlins Scratch Off Card for 100 autographed Ramirez figurines, a Marlins Maraca, a Marlins Flashlight and a Miguel Cabrera youth T-shirt.

The homestand will also feature several special events such as Hispanic Heritage Weekend presented by JM Lexus (Aug. 31 - Sept. 2), the Florida Marlins Community Foundation 'Minor League Night' (Aug. 31), and a Super Saturday postgame concert (Victor Manuelle and Issac Delgado) following a Fireworks Spectacular presented by Match Up Promotions.

The Florida Marlins will host the Atlanta Braves for a three-game series from Monday, Aug. 27, through Wednesday, Aug. 29. Fans are encouraged to take advantage of the various ticket offers including: The Miami Herald Two For Tuesday and the Marlins E-saver special online ticket offer on Wednesday.

Starting Friday, Aug. 31, the Florida Marlins will host the Philadelphia Phillies. On Friday, fans are encouraged to take advantage of the CBS4 for $54 ticket deal, arrive early to enjoy the Budweiser Fiesta Latina at Strike Zone starting at 5 p.m. and all ladies can enjoy Ladies Nite prior to the game. Plus the first 10,000 fans will receive a Hanley Ramirez Figurine courtesy of Badia Spices and as part of Scratch Off Friday, 100 lucky fans will receive an autographed figurine courtesy of The Miami Herald and MetroPCS.

On Super Saturday, the first 5,000 vehicles through the parking gates will receive a Marlins Flashlight courtesy of NAPA Auto Parts and the first 25,000 fans through the stadium gates will receive a Marlins Maraca courtesy of El Dorado Furniture. Also, as part of the Super Saturday Concert Series, fans will enjoy Victor Manuelle and Issac Delgado following a Fireworks Spectacular presented by MatchUp Promotions after the game.

On the series finale against the Phillies, the Marlins will celebrate Family Sunday featuring Snapshot Sunday, the Nestlé Drumstick Diamond Dash, and the Family Funzone. Fans are also encouraged to arrive at the Strike Zone early for games and entertainment from Radio Disney plus Dominando con los Marlins. In addition, the first 5,000 kids 12-and-under will receive a Miguel Cabrera Youth T-shirt courtesy of Doctors Hospital.

VICTOR MANUELLE AND ISSAC DELGADO CONCERT: One of Cuba's most famous modern salsa musicians, Delgado's music combines elements of Afro-Caribbean rhythms with pop and jazz. From his days as a member of N.G. La Banda, the Cuban dance group, to leading orchestras on worldwide tours, "El Chevere de la Salsa" continues to entertain salsa lovers everywhere. The New York-born and Puerto Rico-based Victor Manuelle is a successful salsa singer, songwriter, and improvisational sonero, known to his fans as El Sonero de la Juventud ("The Youth's Sonero"). Manuelle released his 10th studio album, "Decisión Unánime" in 2006. The post-game concert is proudly presented by Bank of America and will be followed by a Fireworks Spectacular show presented by Match Up Promotions.

SUPER SATURDAY AUTOGRAPH SIGNING: Every Saturday home game autograph sessions will be held in both Strike Zone tents with celebrities, players, and Marlins alumni between 5-7 p.m. In the G-side tent, PBA Hall of Famer Walter Ray Williams Jr. will be signing autographs from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. In the A-side tent, the player autograph session will be from approximately 6 p.m.-6:20 p.m. and will be for the first 100 kids 12-and-under only. 50-50 RAFFLE: The Florida Marlins Community Foundation will host a 50-50 Raffle at the Community Corner, section 149, and the Gate H Plaza every Sunday during the 2007 season. Fans may purchase raffle tickets for $1 or six for $5 from the time the gates open until the final out of the third inning. One lucky winner will receive one-half of the money collected for the raffle that day. The other half will be used for the Cornerstones for Kids programs. The winner will be announced during the game as well as contacted by the Florida Marlins Community Foundation.

SNAPSHOT SUNDAY: The first 100 fans in line at Snapshot Sunday will be able to have their photograph taken with a Marlins player. Fans are reminded to bring their own camera; however, a new photo tent is available at Strike Zone this season. Snapshot Sunday is located at Strike Zone at Gate H and opens at 11 a.m. Billy The Marlin and the Marlins Mermaids will be also on hand for photographs.

MARLINS MASTERPIECES SUMMER SERIES: The Grand Prize Winner and runner-ups of the 2007 Marlins Masterpieces Summer Series will be recognized during a pregame ceremony. The Summer Series challenged summer campers from Shake-A-Leg Miami to transform a Dan Uggla youth bat into their own Masterpiece - featuring artwork of their summer vacation.

NESTLÉ DRUMSTICK DIAMOND DASH: Kids ages 12-and-under will have the opportunity to run the bases after the game during the Nestlé Drumstick Diamond Dash. Once the game has ended, kids and parents or chaperons should report to the concourse of section 141-142, where the guests will be escorted on to the field.

DOMINANDO CON LOS MARLINS: WQBA 1140 AM will be hosting Dominando con los Marlins at every Marlins Family Sunday this season at Strike Zone, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dominando is free for all fans. LIVE PREGAME BROADCASTS: 560 WQAM from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

CELEBRATION CLUB: Do you want to send a message during the game? Call 305-623-6497 to put a Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, or other special message on the Matrix Board during the sixth inning. One lucky fan will be featured as the Al's Florist and Gifts "Catch of the Day." Gift bags and roses are also available for pick-up at the Community Corner. Marriage proposals and gift bag deliveries by Billy the Marlin or the Mermaids can be arranged for an additional fee.

COMMUNITY CORNER: The Community Corner consists of two kiosks at section 149 - one for the Florida Marlins Community Foundation and one for the Community Affairs Department. This area is the headquarters for the Florida Marlins community programs. The Florida Marlins Community Foundation kiosk is staffed at every home game until the bottom of the third inning. Check out the nightly auction item, prize wheel, old media guides, Marlins photographs, 1997 Commemorative Patches and A-Z Books for Children. A special 50 - 50 raffle is held each Sunday.

DUNKIN' DONUTS: When the Marlins score six runs or more at home, fans can exchange their ticket stub within 24 hours of the game's start time for two free donuts and a medium iced tea at participating Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Treasure Coast Dunkin' Donuts locations.

'FISHBUGGY RAFFLE': The Big Bike Riders Association has teamed up with the Florida Marlins Community Foundation for the second consecutive year to offer a unique raffle item. Last year it was a customized Florida Marlins chopper bike. This season it's a customized golf cart with a Florida Marlins theme. Fans can see the "Fish Buggy" and purchase a $10 raffle ticket, which includes a future game ticket, at the Gate H Strike Zone on the weekends. Look for the "Fish Buggy" at Section 149 Community Corner on Weekdays. Five finalists will be chosen on Friday, September 21, 2007. The winner will be chosen from the finalists on Sunday, September 23, 2007 in a pre-game ceremony. Proceeds benefit the Florida Marlins Community Foundation.

MARLINS RADIO NETWORK: All 162 regular season games will be broadcast on WQAM 560 AM and the Marlins Radio Network in English and on WQBA 1140 AM in Spanish. The Marlins Radio Network consists of: WSWN 900 AM in Belle Glade, WELE 1380 AM in Daytona Beach, WEFL 760 AM in West Palm Beach, WFFG 1330 AM in Marathon, WKWF 1600 AM in Key West, WSTU 1450 AM in Stuart, WWCN 770 AM Fort Myers/Naples.

This ticket offer is valid for all Marlins Sunday through Thursday regular season home games.

PARKING AND GATE OPENING: Parking lots at Dolphin Stadium will open two hours prior to game time, and stadium gates will open one and a half hour prior to the game. Parking gates for all Friday home games will open at 4:30 p.m. Strike Zone opens at 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. on Sunday.
