Arizona Fall League Announces 2007 Rosters

08/27/2007, PHOENIX, Ariz. -- The Arizona Fall League announces its rosters for the 2007 season. Roster size is established at 35 players per team. Each major-league organizaiton is required to provide seven players subject to the following eligibility requirements:
• All Triple-A and Double-A players are eligible provided they are on Double-A rosters no later than August 6. One player below the Double-A level is allowed.
• Foreign players are allowed as long as the player is not on his native country's protected player list.
• No players with more than two years of credited Major League service as of August 31 (including Major League disabled list time) are eligible except a team may select one player picked in the most recently concluded Major League Rule 5 draft.
• To be eligible, players on Minor League disabled lists must be activated at least 45 days before the conclusion of their respective seasons.
• Each team is allotted 20 pitchers but only 15 are designated "eligible" each game day.

The following organizational groupings comprise the 2007 Arizona Fall League.

East Division
Mesa Solor Sox (Hohokam Stadium):
Astros, Brewers, Cardinals, Cubs, Red Sox
Phoenix Desert Dogs (Phoenix Municipal Stadium):
A's, Orioles, Pirates, Twins, White Sox
Scottsdale Scorpions (Scottsdale Stadium):
Blue Jays, Devil Rays, Diamondbacks, Giants, Mets

West Division
Peoria Javelinas (Peoria Stadium):
Braves, Mariners, Nationals, Rockies, Yankees
Peoria Saguaros (Peoria Stadium):
Dodgers, Marlins, Padres, Phillies, Tigers
Surprise Rafters (Surprise Stadium):
Angels, Indians, Rangers, Reds, Royals

The Fall League begins its 16th season on Tuesday, October 9. The will play 12:35 p.m. and 7:05 p.m. games six days per week (Monday-Saturday) in five Phoenix-area Cactus League stadiums (Mesa, Peoria, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Surprise), concluding with the annual league championship game on Saturday, November 17. The second annual "Rising Stars Showcase" is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, October 26 at Surprise Stadium. Night games will be played on Mondays this season for the first time.
