South Dakota Receives SBA Declaration
Aug. 27, 2007 -- Pierre, SD-Financial assistance is on its way to the victims of the Aug.17, 2007, flooding in Custer County.
Today, South Dakota Governor Mike Rounds received word that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved a disaster declaration for Custer County and its neighboring counties.
“This means SBA low-interest loans will be made available to people in the designated counties,” said Governor Rounds. “The loans can’t make people whole again, but they can certainly make the recovery process easier. The SBA declaration is very good news.”
Homeowners, renters and business owners in the designated counties are eligible to apply for these loans.
