ESPN Classic's Top 25 Countdown:50-Hour Marathon of Games from the Top 25 College Football Teams Starts August 28
Kicks-Off Extensive College Football Coverage on ESPN Classic
August 23, 2007 -- ESPN Classic’s Top 25 Countdown will showcase the best college teams in a 50-hour marathon beginning Tuesday, Aug 28 at 5 p.m., ET and culminating on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. The marathon will feature classic replays of 25 games – one from each of the Associated Press top-ranked 2007 teams – starting with No. 25 Texas A&M and ending with No. 1 USC. Rece Davis will host.
ESPN Classic’s college football coverage in 2007 will include at least nine live games, starting with the 2007 MEAC-SWAC Challenge: Southern vs. Florida A&M on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 3 p.m. In addition, ESPN Classic will present: ESPN Game of the Week Replay on Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon, beginning Sept. 2 and featuring the best college football game on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU from the previous week; Classic College Football Replays, every Monday through Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m., beginning September 4 and showcasing each week’s top upcoming games with replays of previous meetings between the participating teams; and Friday Tailgate, from 1 to7 p.m., beginning on September 7 and highlighting three replays of games of the top-three upcoming games for that weekend.
