Aug. 21, 2007, Greensboro, N.C. and Washington, D.C. -- ACC football fans are gearing up for the start of the 2007 season, and XM Satellite Radio is getting ready to launch its fourth season of broadcasting ACC games to fans live across the continental United States.

XM will kick off the ACC football season on September 1, starting at 12:00 noon ET when Virginia Tech hosts East Carolina (XM channel 190) and Miami hosts Marshall (XM channel 191).

"ACC fans can hear their favorite teams on an XM radio, wherever they live from coast to coast," said Eric Logan, XM executive vice president, programming. "If you're a student on campus, or you're a fan who lives on the other side of the country in Seattle or San Diego, you can hear ACC games on an XM radio. The ACC has a phenomenal tradition of excellence, and we're proud to be able to offer games for fans all over the nation."

"XM Radio has been a terrific partner to the ACC over the past three years. As the nation's leading satellite radio provider with more than 8 million subscribers, they provide an ideal platform to deliver ACC content from coast to coast," said Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John Swofford. "Reaching the audience of ACC fans, no matter where they reside will always be one of our goals."

Overall, XM offers 170 channels of sports, music, talk, news, and entertainment. XM is the nation's leading satellite radio company with more than 8.2 million subscribers. Subscribers tune into XM on satellite radios for the car, home, office, and portable use.

In addition to the ACC, XM's college sports line-up includes the Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-10, and SEC. XM is also the official satellite radio network of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) Championship Game and other BCS games. XM will air more than 5,000 live sporting events in 2007.

"When you look at XM's partnership with the ACC," said XM's Logan, "coupled with the five other power conferences, plus the BCS, you can see how XM really has become the ultimate destination for college sports fans."
