AL Pennant Races Return to Cleveland
Second-to-last Cleveland Indians homestand of the season highlighted by three teams in seven days
08/23/2007, CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians, currently sitting atop the American League's Central Division, have just 16 regular season home games remaining in the 2007 Major League Baseball season. The second-to-the-last homestand features 7 games in 7days- the Tribe plays host to the Minnesota Twins at 7:05PM August 27 to begin a three-game series. The rescheduled game against the Seattle Mariners follows beginning Thursday, August 30 at 7:05PM and the homestand concludes with Chicago White Sox August 31-September 2.
Fans can celebrate the last days of summer at Jacobs Field beginning August 27& 30 with the return of two College 360 Student ID Nights, courtesy of The Plain Dealer (August 30 only), and a scheduled pregame Heart & Hustle Award ceremony for CF GRADY SIZEMORE August 27. Labor Day Weekend includes: FIREWORKS August 31, INDIANS FLEECE BLANKET (All Fans), courtesy of The Plain Dealer and POST-GAME MOVIE shown on the Scoreboard September 1, and INDIANS KIDS CAP (All Kids 14 & Under) September 2.

Cleveland Indians Player Wins 2007 MLBPAA Heart & Hustle Award:
The Cleveland Indians, in cooperation with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA), will celebrate Indians CF GRADY SIZEMORE in receiving the 2007 Heart & Hustle Award. The MLBPAA gives this annual award to one player from each ML team who demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit, and traditions of the game. Sizemore will be honored with the Heart and Hustle Award during pregame ceremonies on August 27.

Thursday is the third of three rescheduled snow-out games against the Mariners to be played at Jacobs Field. Tickets from April 8 will be valid for the August 30 rescheduled game or fans can exchange their April 8 tickets to ANY remaining 2007 regular season game (subject to availability).
