Statement of Georgia Governor Perdue on New Delta CEO
August 21, 2007 -- ATLANTA - Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue issued the following statement regarding Delta Air Lines’ announcement this afternoon of a new Chief Executive Officer:
“Thanks to the perseverance of Jerry Grinstein and the hard work of its employees, Delta has regained its position as a leading air carrier in the U.S.
The return of the Delta spirit is palpable. We welcome new CEO Richard Anderson and I look forward to Delta’s momentum continuing as the state supports this dynamic company.”
