Georgia Governor Perdue Appoints Richard Bridgeman as District Attorney for the Piedmont Judicial Circuit
August 21, 2007 -- ATLANTA – Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the appointment of Richard K. Bridgeman as the district attorney for the Piedmont Judicial Circuit, comprised of Banks, Barrow and Jackson counties. This position was created by the resignation of Tim Madison. A brief biography is provided below.
Richard K. Bridgeman, 42, Hoschton, GA – Bridgeman has served in the role of assistant district attorney with the Mountain, Northern and Piedmont District Attorney’s Office. He is a member of the National District Attorney’s Association and the District Attorney’s Association of Georgia. He is an active member of Zion Baptist Church in Braselton. Bridgeman earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University. He and his wife, Genoria, have three children.
