New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson Urges Parents to Check Children’s Toys
Aug. 17, 2007 SANTA FE -- New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson today urged New Mexico parents to check their children’s toys, after the recent recall of millions of China made toys suspected to be tainted by lead paint.
“I am asking every parent to check their children’s toys to see if they are on the national recall list of dangerous toys,” said Governor Bill Richardson. “The safety of our children is so important; we must do everything we can to reduce the risk of lead poisoning.”
For a complete list of recalled toys and instructions on what to do if your child has a toy on the recall list, go to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website: www.cpsc.gov.
