New Jersey State v. Rick Tocchet: Operation Slapshot; Sentencing for Former NHL Hockey Star
August 16, 2007 -- Retired NHL hockey star Rick Tocchet is scheduled to be sentenced tomorrow pursuant to his guilty plea to charges of conspiracy and promoting gambling, both in the third degree, for running a multi-million dollar sports gambling ring with a New Jersey state trooper.
The sentencing is scheduled for 9 A.M. on Friday, Aug. 17, before Superior Court Judge Thomas S. Smith Jr. in Burlington County in Courtroom 6A of the New Courts Facility, 49 Rancocas Road, Mount Holly, N.J.
