Grand Funk Railroad Cancels Illinois State Fair Performance
August 13, 2007 -- SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Grand Funk Railroad has canceled its appearance at the 2007 Illinois State Fair. The 70s rock band was supposed to open the Joe Walsh concert Saturday, Aug. 18, but will not be able to perform because of a scheduling conflict.
Joe Walsh is still scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Grandstand, and will be joined by J. D. and the Straight Shot.
