WKRC Radio in Cincinnati Hosts Concert to Aid Military Families
8/14/07, Cincinnati, OH -- Clear Channel radio station WKRC-AM recently served as host to one of several Freedom Concerts, benefiting the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund. The fund was established to provide scholarships for the children of military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty. The concert was hosted by television and radio personality, Sean Hannity, and raised over $400,000 for the cause.
“We can never fully give back to our brave service members what they have sacrificed for us and the cause of freedom," said Freedom Alliance President Tom Kilgannon, "but what we can do is show our appreciation by helping their children pay for college.”
Since its inception, Freedom Alliance has provided more than $1,000,000 in college scholarships to the sons and daughters of American heroes.
