ABC News' Republican Presidential Debate Posts Highest Demo Number of All Republican Debates This Cycle
Tuesday, August 07, 2007 -- According to Nielsen Media Research Fast Nationals for Sunday, August 5, 2007, ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" posted the highest A25-54 numbers of any Republican debate this cycle.
The debate, moderated by ABC News' George Stephanopoulos with additional questioning from David Yepsen of The Des Moines Register, was held at Drake University on August 5, 2007. All Republican presidential candidates were in attendance.
This was the first Presidential debate of the 2008 cycle aired on broadcast television and the first Presidential debate of the 2008 cycle held in Iowa. The democratic debate will be held August 19, 2007.
George Stephanopoulos is the anchor of "This Week" and Katherine O'Hearn is the executive producer. The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
