05/28/2007 -- With California’s Anaheim Ducks seeking their first hockey championship, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced that he and Canadian Premier of Ontario Dalton McGuinty will place a friendly wager of the outcome of the Anaheim Ducks and Ottawa Senators match up in the Stanley Cup Finals.

“California is the proud home to the best of the best – that’s why I am confident that the Ducks will bring the legendary Cup to the Golden State,” said Gov. Schwarzenegger.

Gov. Schwarzenegger will wager:

* a custom-made jacket by California clothes designer Tony Nowak and
* a cornucopia of California’s bounties including: Anaheim chiles, the home of the Ducks’ Sesquicentennial oranges, famous boysenberry jam from Knott's Berry Farm, extra virgin olive oil from UC Davis, California grown rice, strawberries, peaches, plums and nectarines, California Grown giveaways and a case of California wine, including red and white selections.

Premier Dalton McGuinty, who is a native of Ottawa, will wager:

* a one month supply of Tim Horton's Coffee, a popular Canadian doughnut and coffee chain,
* a variety of high-quality, world-renowned Ontario wines, including a bottle of ice wine, a sweet wine made from grapes harvested when frozen on the vine, and
* a Roots sweater.

The best of seven games series begins Monday night, with the first two games in Anaheim.

Beginning Tuesday, Gov. Schwarzenegger, joined with a delegation of California business leaders, will be in Canada for a trade mission to develop and promote California’s economic and political ties with Canada. Over the course of three days, the Governor will meet with business, agricultural, academic and government leaders, including Premier McGuinty, and will visit the Canadian cities of Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver.
