Paris Hilton's Lawyer Appeals Jail Sentence
08 May 2007 -- Paris Hilton's lawyers have filed a notice to appeal her 45-day jail sentence.
Filed May 8 with a Los Angeles court, the notice is required before a formal appeal can be lodged.
The 26-year-old socialite has been ordered to report to a county jail by June 5 for violating the terms of her probation resulting from an alcohol-related reckless driving arrest.
Speaking May 5 outside her home, Hilton said "I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwarranted and I don't deserve this."
